EERVC is a veterinary conference that took place at the GR – Ljubljana Exhibition and Convention Centre. It was designed to serve the continuing educational needs of veterinarians in the broader Eastern European region. The conference included world-renowned international speakers, the largest regional trade exhibition and unparalleled opportunities for professional networking. The organisers recorded the same number of participants as before the epidemic.
For the organisers, the venue selection was immensely satisfying because it was easy for the participants to circulate between the halls. They praised the availability of halls of varied sizes in proximity, the possibility of many formal and informal spaces where participants could meet, relax, and chat socially, and the central location in the city itself. All aspects of the congress (exhibition, lectures, meetings, catering area) were tailored to the wishes of the organisers. Thus, the plenary lectures took place on the same level (ground floor) as the exhibition program.
