Cankarjev dom to host acclaimed medical conferences

XXVII World Congress and International Vulvovaginal Disease Update 2024 in Cankarjev dom, Ljubljana

Between 13 and 18 September 2024, Cankarjev Dom hosted the XXVII World Congress and International Vulvovaginal Disease Update 2024. The events are set to convene leading vulvovaginal disease experts from across the globe.

The International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease (ISSVD) is committed to promoting vulvar education to medical providers globally to effectively foster change worldwide. A small group of medical professionals have dedicated their studies to educating other providers and continuing to research and find scientific evidence to improve the quality of care for patients with a vulvovaginal disorder.

Networking opportunities and knowledge exchange

The World Congress offers a unique opportunity to hear the most recent updates and advances in the field, as well as the scientific abstracts of members, fellows, and candidates for fellowship at the ISSVD. There are also social events incorporated into the event to foster a feeling of fellowship, collaboration, and networking opportunities.

The event programme includes plenary sessions and keynote presentations paired with networking breaks. Welcome reception took place in the Grand Reception Hall of Cankarjev dom, while Linhart and Kosovel halls served as the main lecture halls for more than 500 participants.

Since the advent of AI, event organisers have aspired to include this aide-de-camp in their events. Cankarjev dom utilised Wordly, an AI-powered translation tool, to provide real-time translation during this medical meeting. By incorporating novel tools, Cankarjev dom is solidifying its position as a leading event venue that utilises modern technologies.
