Nis CVB shares achievements in 2024 and vision for 2025

From hosting European event organiSers to lAunching an International Tourism Fair, Nis is set to shine on the global stage.

Nis Convention Bureau proudly reflects on a year of great achievements in 2024 and looks ahead to ambitious plans for 2025. NCB successfully hosted “Try before you buy” event in 2024, a new feature introduced by Conventa, hosting event planners from Europe to showcase the city’s potential. For 2025, plans include the 25th International Fair, featuring a MICE Conference as a key highlight, positioning Nis as a growing hub for tourism and business events.


One of the standout events of the past year was the innovative “Try before you buy” initiative by Conventa. This unique event brought event organisers from across Europe to Nis, giving them an immersive experience of the city’s rich cultural heritage, modern infrastructure and vibrant atmosphere. By showcasing the potential of Nis as a top-tier destination for meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), the Bureau successfully positioned the city as a competitive player in the European market. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many participants expressing interest in organising future events in the city. In addition to this event, NCB supported numerous conferences throughout the year, offering logistical and promotional assistance to ensure their success. To enhance the experience of event attendees, the Bureau also organised tailored sightseeing tours, showcasing the rich history and vibrant culture of Nis. Furthermore, a series of educational workshops were held to strengthen local expertise in event organisation and tourism management, reflecting the NCB’s commitment to professional development.

In 2025, NCB will continue with new initiatives in the development of MICE tourism and support to the MICE sector in Nis. This year, Nis will host its 25th International Tourism Fair (4-6 April), an event that aims to bring together key players in the travel and tourism industries. As the highlight of the fair, a dedicated MICE conference will be organized, focusing on the latest trends and opportunities in business tourism. These initiatives underscore the Bureau’s commitment to promoting Nis as a hub for both leisure and professional gatherings, enhancing its global visibility and appeal. 

Nis convention bureau is dedicated to strengthening the city’s reputation as a premier MICE destination in the region, and to attract even more international attention in the coming years.
